Larke Pass - an abstract form of nature to me , a memory I wouldn’t let go off my mind and heart.
I loved how nature had enriched Manaslu with perfection – the steep mountains, sloppy hills, the huge rocks, water falls, the greenery, and the misty climate all were a feast to my eyes. The way in which nature had colored the environment, placed every creation in its right place .I couldn’t do much but aspire to track that beauty in my creation.I look back now ,and feel, the toughest task became a moment I would embrace, forever.
Describing Manaslu, it is beautiful,Calm,Magnificent,Breathtaking,Esctatic. And the list continues…….
Being a part of promoting the trans Himalayan area of Nepal through art, I feel immensely happy.

Fourteen days Manaslu trek was not just a trek but a bunch of unforgettable moments.
Manaslu, remote place from Kathmandu is a pride of Gorkha district. The place, named after a popular mountain ‘Manaslu’, is a beautiful untouched place, full of natural beauty and away from any pollution. Innocence of the people of Manaslu is the most attractive part of the whole trip.
Being a artist, Manaslu trek became inspiration for new creations. That’s why the trip got it’s name “Inspiration Manaslu 2007” fulfilled in a true manner. Paintings created in the trip reflect the life style of the place, natural beauty and religious places. The trip “Inspiration Manaslu” gave an opportunity to know Nepal closely and became a milestone art workshop, fruitful in every aspect.

For me Manaslu itself a huge nature canvas where riverines, cascades and waterfalls are intermingled in their own way. This 14 days trek was so inspired the mentally as well as physically.Found very hard and difficult lives of the people of Manalsu and involved myself very closed to nature in this short span of treks. My mind also delved into the innocent child and women characters and their expressions and sorroundings. Thus, shadowed me the perception of dark and depressions of their lives and environment.
I thank to Manang Youth Society for their heart about this Arts and Treks vision and their every programs based on the Natures call.

Every delighted morning with the companies of beautiful panoramic views, adventurous journey totally away from polluted and unhealthy urban life of Kathmandu.Everywhere blossoming different colorful flowers and dangerous but mind- blowing roof like huge mountains and cliffs.
On the way, the signs of Buddhist pictures and secrets, the spreading Stupas, flag and banners indicate the religious faith on Buddhism of the villagers.
We were amazed when we found the innocent people and their daily activities-uniting like the bees, truly helpful, hardworking and faithful. all these compelled us to think the unhealthy and rotten behaviors practiced in the cities.
The place, where lots of difficulties, poverty and illiteracy, is the best in hospitality. I never forget the way the blessing and offering they offered with Khaddar(yellow Shawl) to be fruitful and successful our journey toward Larke Pass even in the rainy day. The real blessing of the people helped us to pass Larke pass successful. In the evening we reached Vimtang of Manang district.
Fully, at the span of two weeks of our art journey threw us in the veil of the same destination where full of dust, traffic jams, crows, distrust…….

A team of fourteen members comprising of artists, journalists and film crew for a period of fourteen says set for a trek to Manaslu for a workshop namely “ Inspiration Manaslu”. So fresh in my memory are the routes, the breathtaking landscapes and all that we witnessed as we journeyed through it terrains. This trek has been a wonderful experience that I shall cherish for many years and truly an unforgettable one.
I never had visited or been to any rural place I Nepal so Manaslu has been a lifetime experience to me so far. It has also been a spiritual trek because the whole place is blessed and holy. The trek was difficult and hard but every bit of it was worth. It was so good to be away from the busy city life and get mesmerized with Manaslu’s wilderness. I also got the opportunity to hike through the Manaslu Circuit area where I came across these simple people who dwell here. The simplicity and hardship of these people touched me, which I have depicted in my paintings, I got to learn about their traditions and culture though the visit was very brief.
Our workshop with the help of the Manang Youth society was truly a successful event. This society consisting of young people have inspired many young artists expose their talent thereby, improve their living standards. This workshop not only promoted this enchanted place also promoted artists and people who could express so well in colors. I would like to congratulate the Manang Youth Society for their continuous effort to help promote such events.

My journey to Manaslu with my colleagues and seniors has been an unforgettable experience in my life. The journey became my source of inspiration for new creations. For a creative person like us that was a moment very precious. For the moment left lot of memories; memories that are reflected in the paintings I have created.
We spent some days in the remote hilly areas which was quite adventurous. But, we are thankful to The Manang Youth Society, who made our journey well organized and easy. The hospitality of the people in the hilly region, their innocent smile and faces left a great impact to me. Their nature of welcoming the foreigners and smiling even in the crucial times touched me.
These impacts are poured through the colors and strokes of my brushes in the empty canvases. Reaching Manaslu was not less than conquering the world or climbing the Mt. Everest at least for me. As, the time then, was quite difficult but interesting in the mean time. I am thankful to those who helped us in making this journey meaningful and successful as well. I equally hope to be a part of these journeys in the days to come.

It was an amazing tour. We touched the nature and the nature touched us. Actually, I could not find any word to express my feeling.
I always think that art can be used as a powerful tool to promote tourism of our nation. I feel so lucky to be involved and to be chosen along so many other talented artists. It feel great to be contributing to society through talent.
I hope that this exercise of linking art with tourism to generate awareness through art would be more meaningful and would help to achieve the desired objectives. I am thankful to Manang Youth Society for organizing this tour “ Scared Destination Manaslu” and selecting me as a part of it.
