It was my first visit to Manang and it was like finding heaven in Nepal. The hills and stones of the surrounding area were impressive. Manang was very small but it was marvelous, clean and tranquil. It was interesting to see such different architecture. Tibetan Buddhist philosophy is present everywhere. The messages from the prayer flags seemed to flow all over as the wind mived through them. |

Manang was far way but extremely interesting. I enjoyed meeting the people and finding out how they lived. They have a unique community and a hard life. My overall impression of Manang is that it is made o f gold and all the stones are golden. It was one of my personal best and most successful workshops. We had an incredible team that made all the difference. I have never enjoyed a workshop so much. |

The pople were extremely hospitable. One girl went out of her way to serve us tea and food and wanted us to stay in her house. This was very different from what I had heard before. I loved being able to include a collage on nature in my paintings and so much culture to paint about. It's like an interrupted dream that you want to get back to. |

It was my first experience trekking. I learnt what nature is all about as opposed to life in kathmandu. The people of Manang look more natural and even their colouring is in tune with nature. Manang is undisturbed by the outer world. It felt like being in heaven. It was encouraging to be out in the scenery as opposed to in a workshop. It was a totally different experience and environment. |

Manang was impressive and attractive. The place in itself is a painting. Artists don't need to interpret the beauty there; it naturally shows in the colours and shapes. I found the originality of he stones and rocks very peculiar. This kind of workshop is very beneficial for artists and also for promoting a place. The paintings we were able to do in this workshop will enable people to understand Manang. |

It's hard to find good scenery to paint in Kathmandu but in Manang there was so much to choose from. It was as if all the natural beauties had been collected and put in one small place, expecially the pass in Pisang. When I saw the pass I understood why they called it Swargadwar (Gateway to Heaven) as it was like entering heaven. The people of Manang were friendly and the environment is homely. |
